What do you do in a Barre class? 

The 60-minute Core Barre classes work each muscle group in the body in a structured, safe and efficient way. Classes start with a warm up then upper body work with free weights, next up are push-ups and plank poses. The muscles we target are the bi-cep, tricep, shoulder, chest and back muscles. Next we move to the stationary ballet barre to shape thighs and glutes. Between each strengthening section we stretch to work on increasing flexibility. We hit the floor for abdominals and a deep, relaxing, cool down that includes power-stretches and tension releasing breathing.

WHAT DO YOU DO IN A 305 FITNESS CLASS?

This class is a full-on cardio workout inspired by the club scene in Miami.  With this high intensity rhythmic cardio class where you’ll burn up to 900 calories in one 45-minute session, you’ll experience an addictive dance party with infectious music. Wear sneakers. You will sweat and smile profusely and in equal measures.    

WHAT DO YOU DO IN SOULFLOW YOGA?

This yoga class is a mix of stillness and a restorative flow releasing the day, relaxing the mind and renewing the soul.  Led by candlelight, this class is a compassionate healing yoga session designed to release deep layers of tension stored in the physical and energetic body within a unique class environment.  You will be encouraged to be you and to find your peace within this special unexpected hour of restoration.

What is PowerSoulFlow Yoga?

Power Soul Yoga is an invigorating vinyasa class designed for experienced practitioners seeking a dynamic and challenging asana practice . With a focus on fluid transitions and breath synchronization, this class elevates heart rates while fostering strength and flexibility. Participants will flow through a series of powerful poses, enhancing their stamina and concentration. The energetic atmosphere promotes a deep connection between body and mind, encouraging personal growth and self-discovery. Expect a vigorous pace, creative sequences, and an emphasis on breath work and mindfulness, making it a transformative experience for those ready to deepen their practice.

How often should I take classes?

3-4 times a week will achieve faster and more significant results. Soreness and stiffness are usually the result of working muscles you are not used to working in a new and different way. The more classes you take the less sore you’ll feel.  The more you put into class, the more you’ll get out of it.

 

Will Core Barre help me lose weight?

Absolutely. Combining a healthy diet, which Carol our nutrition guru can help you achieve along with attending class 3-4 times a week you’ll become leaner. Core Barre classes focus on burning fat and creating muscle density which will increase your metabolism and help you to burn calories, even at rest.

 

Can I take Barre Class if I am pregnant?

Yes. Moderate exercise during pregnancy will both help you feel fit and healthy as well as build strong abdominal muscles that will ultimately make delivery even smoother. Promise! Our instructors are well-trained in modifying our barre system for pregnant women so that you can remain safe and still receive the benefits of the class. Please ask your doctor for a permission note for the first class and inform your Core Barre instructor of your condition before class so that they can best help you to participate safely.

Can I participate in class if I am injured?

Yes. This method was originally created as a rehabilitative system. Many of our stretches are orthopedic and are designed to help in the recovery of injuries. Please consult with your physician before taking class to be sure that you are ready and able to participate. Also, again be sure to inform your Core Barre instructor before class about your injury.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? 

Leggings and a t-shirt are the perfect start.  For Barre classes, wear anti- slip socks (we sell them in the Thrive Shop for ease) which will help with grip.  For 305 Fitness, and Barre HIIT, wear sneakers, leggings or shorts, whatever you can move around in with ease and will make you feel like the superstar you are.

What else can I expect? 

Regardless of your experience level, shape or attire, our goal is to make you feel welcome, motivated, and supported. We take the time to get to know each of our students in class. Whatever your end-goal, we will provide you with encouragement and support at an individual level. All of our classes are challenging and effective, so all of our students feel increased confidence and inner strength when they finish every workout.

WHAT AGE DOES MY CHILD NEED TO BE TO PARTICIPATE IN CLASSES?

  • Children ages 10 and up can register and take class with a parent.  Parents will need to sign a waiver for their child.*

  • Kids ages 14 and older can register and take classes without a parent.  Parents will need to fill out a waiver for their child.*

  • Only those registered for our classes may enter the studio.

  • *We offer a 25% discount on class packages for students*

OK, I’M IN. HOW DO I SIGN UP?

If you’re brand new to Thrive, your first class is free! Sign up here. If your schedule permits, and you are interested in Barre, try the beginner barre class first.  If not, don’t sweat it, we take all levels in our mixed class.  Please arrive at your first class 10-minutes early so we can get you set up and ready for class.

What is the cancellation policy?

Reservations for classes must be canceled or rescheduled at least 6 hours before the scheduled class in order to avoid a penalty. 

Reservations must be canceled through your MINDBODY account and may NOT be canceled by phone, voicemail, or email. See instructions below to know how to cancel or reschedule your Thrive class. 

If a reservation is not canceled in accordance with the cancellation policy (or if a client no-shows), a class will be automatically deducted from your class package. 

Clients with unlimited packages who do not cancel their reservations (or who do not show for class) in accordance with the cancellation policy will be charged $10 for the missed class. If a reservation is canceled early, the class is credited to your Thrive Barre & Fitness class package to use towards future reservations. 

Reservations for private or workshop sessions must be canceled by email at least 24 hours before class to avoid a penalty. 

VIP Thrivers are exempt from this cancellation policy but we do strongly encourage adhering to our 6 hour cancellation window when possible to maintain the open spot for a fellow student.

How do I cancel my class?

Go to the Profile screen. Select the class you'd like to cancel. 

At the bottom of the screen, tap on Cancel, then Cancel Booking to confirm.

To reschedule: After completing your cancellation, just re-book your class or appointment at the desired time.
